Pitt Online Wins 4th Blackboard Exemplary Course Award!

Hot off the press! Pitt Online has received a 2014 Blackboard Exemplary Course Award, the fourth consecutive year that we've received this honor!

LIS 2600 Introduction to Information Technologies is taught by Dr. Chris Tomer as part of the MLIS: Pitt Online program. The course introduces students to the world of distributed computing, with specific reference to applications for libraries and archives. Visit LIS 2600 Course Demonstration for a sneak peak at the course!

The 'Catalyst' Exemplary Course Award is an annual recognition by Blackboard for courses that excel in interaction and collaboration, assessment and learner support. This is the fourth such award for Pitt Online: previous winners included NURSP 3294 Evidence-Based Quality Improvement (School of Nursing, 2013), Management Essentials Online (Center for Executive Education, 2012), and NUR 2261 Organizational and Management Theory (School of Nursing, 2011).

Congratulations to Dr. Tomer and the iSchool at Pitt for this honor! Keep an eye out for additional information and photos about the award!
