Advance Your Expertise in Education Leadership

The Master of Education (MEd) in School Leadership prepares emerging educators to step confidently into administrative and leadership roles in K–12 education.

Designed for those aspiring to become principals or school administrators, the program equips students with the skills needed to lead schools effectively in complex, evolving and uncertain educational environments. Students gain advanced training in institutional leadership, health, mental health and student safety, while developing a forward-thinking framework centered on equity and justice.

All students enrolled in the MEd in School Leadership complete the requirements for the K–12 Principal Certificate concurrently with the degree. The program includes a required internship experience within a school district, providing hands-on leadership practice and real-world administrative experience. Fully aligned with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards, the program ensures graduates meet the academic requirements for K–12 Principal Certification in Pennsylvania.

Eligibility

Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
